Are you interested in spending the summer working overseas? Want to learn more about international law, international development, rule of law, and good governance? The International Rule of Law and Security program is now accepting applications for funded summer internships in Dili, Timor-Leste for 1Ls and 2Ls.
What: If selected, you will intern at a respected local non-governmental organization, national human rights institution, or another similar organization in Timor-Leste on enhancing rule of law and good governance in Timor-Leste, one of the world’s newest countries and a fledgling democracy. You will put your law training into practice learning about the challenges faced by developing countries and contributing to meaningful rule of law projects.
When: The internship will take place over 8-10 weeks, generally from late May to late July, with exact dates to be determined.
Funding/Scholarships: The number and amount of awards granted for summer 2020 will be determined during the application process. These awards are disbursed as scholarships, and may be impacted by your individual financial aid circumstances. Selected candidates will meet with Financial Aid to clarify the details of disbursement before the internship is finalized.
